What happens if I change my availability status in Microsoft Teams? Does it update in Team Board automatically?

Do all of my team members have to install the Team Board app?
No, you only have to install the app once and everyone in the team gets access.

Can I add Team Board to a private channel in Microsoft Teams?
No. Due to Microsoft Teams' current restrictions, you can add Team Board only within public/standard channels within your team.
Getting Started with Team Board

How do I install and set up Team Board in Microsoft Teams?
- Open the Microsoft Teams app store.
- Go to Apps and search for Team Board.
- Click on Team Board from the search results.
- Click the Open button.
- Select your channel name and click Go. After successful installation, you’ll receive a welcome message from Team Board.
- Click on the Save button to add the tab to your team’s channel

How do I view my entire team's availability status and status messages in Team Board?
Go to the Team Board tab in your teams channel, click on the grant permission link, click on the Continue button. You only need to do this once for your team.

Can I filter the team's availability based on specific criteria (e.g., busy, available, out of office)?

How do I enable sending out-of-office messages within specific Microsoft Teams channels using Team Board?
Click on the Settings gear icon, enable sending out-of-office messages and select the channel where you would like Team Board to send the messages.

How do I call, message, or video call multiple team members directly from the Team Board dashboard?
Check the checkbox next to the member names and click on the call, message, or video call icon.

Is there a way to manage which users appear on Team Board?
Yes. With the paid plan, you can control which users are displayed on Team Board by managing their licenses from the Manage Licenses page.
Troubleshooting

What should I do if Team Board is not loading?
If you experience issues with Team Board not loading, please contact your IT administrator and request that they add the following URL to your whitelist: https://teamboardtabprod.azurewebsites.net/. After confirming the URL is whitelisted, reload the Team Board tab.

Can I delete a message sent by Team Board in the channel?
Sent messages cannot get deleted as per Microsoft Teams restrictions

Which access permissions do I need to grant to start using Team Board?
You can use Team Board without granting any permissions. You only need to grant permissions to synchronize Team Board with Microsoft Teams. Our app uses Microsoft Graph API which requires the below permissions:
- Sign you in - It allows the app to authenticate the user using their Microsoft account credentials
- Read basic profile information - It allows the app to read the basic profile information (First name, last name, email ID, profile picture) of you and all team members on your behalf
- Read presence information - It allows the app to read your presence information (Status, status message, and out-of-office message) and the presence information of all team members on your behalf Example: Status set on MS Teams profile by you and all team members is displayed on Team Board
- Set your presence information - It allows the app to write your presence information (Status and status message) on your behalf Example: Your status set on Team Board is displayed on your MS Teams profile
- Offline access - It allows the app to synchronize your presence information with MS Teams without you actively using Team Board
We do not share this data with anyone. You will only need to do this once for your team.

Who has access to my data on Team Board?
All data access is restricted to the authorized tenant using Microsoft’s built-in authentication process. Access is limited to 2 support team members. All of our staff have signed a confidentiality (NDA) and non-compete agreement

Yes. You get a 30-day premium version trial (No credit card required)

Do I need to enter credit card information to try Team Board premium trial?
No. You can opt for a 30-day trial without entering your credit card information

How much does the Team Board premium subscription cost?
- Annual payment: $5.00 user/year
- Monthly payment: $0.50 user/month

What payment methods are accepted for the Team Board premium subscription?
Microsoft handles financial transactions for the Team Board and they accept Visa, American Express, MasterCard, and Discover

Do I need to purchase licenses for each team member in my organization?
No. You only need to purchase a license for each user in your organization for whom you need to use the Team Board features

How do I subscribe to Team Board?
- Step 1: Go to Microsoft Teams app store and click on the Buy a subscription button. You will be navigated to the checkout page.
- Step 2: Enter the quantity = Total number of team members and click the update link. You will see the modified subtotal amount
- Step 3: Add your address by clicking the Enter your sold-to address link
- Step 4: Click the Add a new payment method link and enter your credit card details
- Step 5: Click the Place order button
- Step 6: Wait for Microsoft to process and confirm the successful transaction
- Step 7: Click the Set up button to activate your subscription
- Step 8: After this, you will be navigated to the Team Board subscription landing page where you can manage your licenses

How do I generate an invoice for my Team Board subscription?
Microsoft generates the invoice for your subscription on the 9th of each month. You can download it from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center: Billing → Bills and Payments → Invoices.

How do I assign or remove user licenses for Team Board?
You can assign or remove user licenses from the Team Board Settings → Manage Licenses option.

How do I manage my Team Board subscription (Pause, Cancel, or Buy additional licenses, etc.)?
You can manage your subscription in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center: Billing → Your Products → Apps

How do I purchase additional licenses for my Team Board subscription?
You can add more licenses through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center by following these steps:
- Expand the Billing section and click on Your Products.
- Scroll to the Apps section and select Team Board In/Out Status List.
- Click the Buy licenses button.
- In the Total licenses field, enter the new total number of licenses, then click Save.
(Example: If you currently have 100 licenses and want to add 50 more, enter 150 in the Total licenses field.)
